Project Overview

Objectiversity was created to support educational programs organized through John Galt schools across Europe.

Before the platform existed, lectures, assignments, and learning materials were managed offline, making it difficult to track progress and maintain engagement across different locations.

The platform centralizes all educational activities in one place, enabling users to attend courses, submit assignments, access learning materials, and communicate with other members of the community.

My Role

  • I was responsible for designing the overall structure and experience of the platform.

    My work included:

    • defining platform features and workflows
    • designing role-based permissions
    • creating wireframes and prototypes
    • designing the full UI
    • creating the visual identity and logo
    • collaborating daily with developers and QA

User research had already been conducted by a third-party partner before the project started.

Problem

Educational programs operated mostly offline and lacked a centralized system for managing courses, materials, and student progress.

Communication between students and professors was fragmented, and resources were difficult to access across different locations.

The goal was to create a platform that would connect the community and provide a structured environment for learning and collaboration.

Wireframes

After defining the main features and user roles, I created wireframes and interactive prototypes to validate navigation and platform structure. Wireframes helped organize a large amount of educational content and ensure that courses, assignments, and community features remained easy to navigate.

Gamification

To increase engagement and motivate students, I introduced a lightweight gamification system.

Users could earn badges for completing courses, submitting assignments on time, contributing educational materials, and participating in discussions.

Collecting badges allowed users to level up and unlock additional educational resources within the platform.

KEY UX CHALLENGE

One of the main challenges was designing a platform that supports multiple user roles with different permissions.

Students, professors, and administrators each needed access to different parts of the system while still sharing a unified learning environment.

Balancing these role-based workflows while keeping the interface intuitive required careful planning of navigation and information hierarchy.

Final Design

The final platform provides a centralized learning environment where students, professors, and administrators can collaborate through courses, assignments, discussions, and shared resources.

By combining education tools with community features, Objectiversity created a scalable digital platform that supports the growth of the Objectivism educational network.
