Aktivizam Akcelerator is a centralized web platform designed to support activists and civil society organizations by
providing access to grants, events, resources, and collaboration tools.
Aktivizam Akcelerator is a responsive web platform designed to centralize information, resources, and collaboration tools for civil society organizations and activists in Serbia.
The platform functions as a one-stop hub where users can discover grants, events, resources, and opportunities while connecting with other organizations and initiatives.
Before this platform existed, relevant information for activists and organizations was scattered across multiple websites and sources.
This made it difficult to:
• find funding opportunities
• discover events and initiatives
• access useful templates and documents
• connect with other organizations
Existing platforms addressed only specific communities or topics, but there was no centralized solution for the broader civil society ecosystem.
I conducted interviews with representatives of different civil society organizations to understand:
• how they currently search for opportunities
• which resources they use most often
• what challenges they face when collaborating with other organizations
Insights from these conversations helped identify the most important features and define the structure of the platform.
The biggest challenge was structuring a content-heavy platform that combines:
• grants and funding opportunities
• events and civic actions
• resources and templates
• community communication
The goal was to keep navigation simple while supporting a wide variety of content and user needs.
The final platform enables users to:
• discover grants, events, and opportunities
• access templates and educational materials
• communicate and collaborate with other organizations
• create organization profiles and manage members
• stay informed through news and blog content
To prevent misuse and maintain quality, the platform was designed as a partially closed system where verified organizations receive full access while visitors can preview selected content.
